Chinese Name

Postby Pacoup » October 5th, 2009 1:45 am

Hey,

I'm looking for a Chinese name for myself. Any Chinese expert care to help?

Here's the original Japanese name:
古泉 武
reads: Koizumi Takeshi

Is there some kind of equivalent in Chinese?

Thanks

Straight pinyin

I'm no "expert," but the straight pinyin reading of your Japanese name (based on the characters you gave and the order in which you gave them) would be Gu Quan Wu.

I have no idea if this is a "good" Chinese name or not. But this should at least get you started down the road to one.

Best of luck!

How about 吴泉 (wú quán) ?

Means about the same thing, even though the given name and surname are inversed. I heard 泉 was a fairly common given name in Taiwan, and 吴 is the 10th most common family name, so I guess it's ok since it's pretty generic.
