Hello, John.

I ran some Word Bank flash cards and the audio worked from the onset for me.

What I would like to see is the Chinese characters default to simplified. I'm a bit baffled why traditional characters appear when all the teaching is done with people from PRC. I don't mind having traditional as an option, but I don't want it to be
my only choice.

I've asked about CC101 about this, hopefully they'll come up with something soon.

The error is a javascript error. I have the latest Java update, does anyone else have this problem? I log on at work as well as at at home and both PC's have the same problem.

Hello, John.

Actually avascript and Java are two different animals.
Java is a object oriented language invented by Sun Microsytems. Javascript is a scripting language that can
be imbeeded in HTML code and has nothing to do with Java. It is designed to do sanity checking on a server before transmitting data to a client.

Are you getting a specific error message?
Have you tried things such as cleaning out our cookies
and temporary internet files?

Best wishes

hi john,

yeah this is a little bug. if you go to 'my settings' and change your 'maximum number of rows' to 20, this should fix the problem temporarily. we are working on a patch that will fix it permanently very soon. sorry about that!

:( Hello Eran, sorry to say I am back to square one.

I still have the problem on all settings. There is no wordbank audio.

The error message is:

Error: Expected identifier, string or number
Line: 379
URL:http://www.chineseclass101.com/learningcenter/account/wordbank

I hope you can help!

John

hi john,

I think you may need to upgrade your Flash plugin.

The current audio player only supports 8 and above. Try that and see if it solves the problem for you。

thanks!
